    This common and popular issue, sporting the image of Venus Verticordia, to which Caesar was a devotee, is believed to have been minted during Caesar's epic Triumph of 46 BC, which, in addition to lavish celebrations and games, an immense donative of 100 denarii was distributed to every citizen of Rome, and between 5,000 and 20,000 per member of the army, depending on station.
