    Description

This group of photos and assorted articles relating to the Ice Capades of the 1940's is from a family whose two sisters were among the working skaters at that time. I'm not sure of all the details and don't have a last name to give you. The large and extra large professional photos are of the sisters. They obviously did some other modeling. The 1949 program (with the Petty Illustrated cover) is complete but has a fold through the middle. The smaller 1945 pictorial souvenir photo packet (also by Petty) shows the sisters in their place in the photos.  Perhaps the most interesting part of this lot are the three large (17 x 12 inches) advertising template sheets that could be used in any town and date to advertise the coming show. I don't know if the family had a hand in the advertising or not. Everything is in good order with a light crease or a bend here and there. There is also a nice connection to Walt Disney as well.
